I want to ask you something, do you speak life into people? Do your words inspire your friends, family and the people you lead? Do you say the things that move people to action? Do you know how to move the crowd?
Many of our greatest leaders know how to move the crowd. They all understand the important power of the words they speak. They know what they say may have a lasting impact on all that hear it. It’s a leader’s responsibility to choose their words wisely. It’s a leader’s responsibility to encourage people to take positive action. A leader must use the right words to do so.
I believe one of the most important questions a leader can ask themselves is, “How can I move the crowd?” In other words, what can I say to inspire my team to take positive steps each day? Trust me, your team is eager to listen. So, I will ask again, do you know the right words that will move your team and organization to positive action? Do your words communicate your values and intentions?
There is a scripture that says, Life and death is in the power of the tongue. As you think about your daily conversation as a leader, be mindful that it’s your responsibility to move people forward not backward. It’s your responsibility to Move the Crowd!
Here’s to making your team move,
